InTek Freight & Logistics provides 53' domestic intermodal capacity for Guitar Center's Brownsburg, Indiana facility.
Guitar Center performs an annual performance review of its freight carriers to ensure they are not only obtaining the best price, but also receiving the highest level of service.
Some, not all, of the measurements used in the evaluation include: on-time pickup & delivery percentage, 100% claims free shipments, customer service, tender acceptance percentage and billing accuracy.
Guitar Center, like many other, carrier friendly distribution centers understand freight cost is more than lane price alone and go out of their way to recognize their logistics stars. Carrier friendly operations understand any type of failure by a freight carrier cause numerous issues in its supply chain and backoffice, which increase costs and impact customer satisfaction and brand loyalty, which ultimately affects sell-through and overall market success.
Intek Freight & Logistics President, Shelli Austin said "Receiving recognition from Guitar Center for how we do business and how well we serve our customers is truly an honor". Shelli's comments rang true when Matt Sessoms, Guitar Center Transportation Manager, told the team that InTek is the first non-asset provider to ever receive the carrier of the year award from Guitar Center.
