InTek Inc 5000 2023

Inc. Business Media revealed today that InTek Freight & Logistics, Inc. ranks No. 1484 on the 2023 Inc. 5000, its annual list of the fastest-growing private companies in America. This marks back-to-back appearances on the list for InTek, which ranked 1541 in 2022. The company’s three-year revenue growth from 2019 to 2022 was 387%.

“We are thrilled to make the Inc. 5000 for two straight years,” said Rick LaGore, InTek CEO. “This repeat appearance is a testament to our company’s continued success providing long-term, innovative freight and logistics solutions for our customers and reflects our team’s dedication to offering unmatched service along the way.”

InTek Freight & Logistics is an Indianapolis-based, North American logistics service provider that combines industry expertise, leading-edge technology and industry partnerships to offer intermodal, truckload, LTL, managed transportation, TMS and a variety of other logistics services to its customers, allowing them to focus on their business.

“Our service-first approach to the variety of logistics issues our customers face, and our people who work tirelessly to create customized solutions in an ever-changing industry continue to drive our growth,” said Shelli Austin, InTek President. “This is an honor for our employees, our clients and our partners – and we’re excited to see what comes next.”

In addition to its overall ranking, InTek ranks number 12 among 36 Indianapolis-area honorees, 15 out of 50 Indiana companies, and 60 of 216 businesses in the Logistics and Transportation category of the Inc. 5000. The prestigious list provides a data-driven look at the most successful companies within the economy’s most dynamic segment—its independent, entrepreneurial businesses.

“Running a business has only gotten harder since the end of the pandemic,” says Inc. editor-in-chief Scott Omelianuk. “To make the Inc. 5000—with the fast growth that requires—is truly an accomplishment. Inc. is thrilled to honor the companies that are building our future.”

The Inc. 5000 class of 2023 represents companies that have driven rapid revenue growth while navigating inflationary pressure, the rising costs of capital, and seemingly intractable hiring challenges. In all, this year’s Inc. 5000 companies have added more than 1.1 million jobs to the economy over the past three years, with median growth of 219%. More about Inc. and the Inc. 5000

Methodology

Companies on the 2023 Inc. 5000 are ranked according to percentage revenue growth from 2019 to 2022. To qualify, companies must have been founded and generating revenue by March 31, 2019. They must be U.S.-based, privately held, for-profit, and independent—not subsidiaries or divisions of other companies—as of December 31, 2022. (Since then, some on the list may have gone public or been acquired.) The minimum revenue required for 2019 is $100,000; the minimum for 2022 is $2 million. As always, Inc. reserves the right to decline applicants for subjective reasons. Growth rates used to determine company rankings were calculated to four decimal places.  The entire Inc. 5000 can be found at http://www.inc.com/inc5000.
